Where you got the app

These terms apply to all our products. Some extra rules depend on where you got the app.

App Store: If you got an app from Apple's App Store, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies (https://www.apple.com/legal/internet-services/itunes/dev/stdeula/). If it conflicts with these terms, Apple's agreement applies for that app.

Direct purchase: Some apps, such as Dimma Screen, are sold directly on our websites. The rules for these purchases are below.

If a product comes with its own terms, those terms apply to that product first, and these terms cover the rest.

Direct purchases through Dodo Payments

Our reseller for direct purchases is Dodo Payments, which is the Merchant of Record. Dodo takes your payment, handles sales tax and VAT, and issues your invoice. Your purchase is also subject to Dodo's Buyer Terms (https://dodopayments.com/legal/buyer-terms).

The price is shown at checkout. After payment, Dodo emails you a license key.

Your license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use our apps under these terms. You buy a license to use the software. You do not buy the software itself. We keep all rights that these terms do not grant to you.

Licenses for direct purchases

One-time purchase: You pay once. There is no subscription.

Up to 3 Macs: You can activate one license key on up to 3 Macs that you own or control, for your own use. To move the license to another Mac, deactivate a Mac in the app first. A Mac that has not renewed its license for 90 days no longer counts toward the limit.

Internet connection: Activation needs an internet connection. After that, the app connects to our license server now and then to renew the license. If the app cannot reach the server, a purchased license keeps working.

Updates: Your purchase includes updates for the major version that is current when you buy. For example, a purchase during version 1 includes all 1.x updates. A later major version may be a paid upgrade. You can keep using the major version your license covers.

Free trial

Some apps, such as Dimma Screen, offer a free trial with all features. The Dimma Screen trial lasts 3 days (72 hours) from the first time you open the app. The trial is tied to your Mac. Reinstalling the app does not restart it. When the trial ends, the app stops working until you buy a license.

What you may not do

You may not:

• share or publish your license key, or use it on more Macs than these terms allow;
• sell, rent, lend, or sublicense our apps or license keys;
• bypass, disable, or tamper with license checks, trial limits, or other protections;
• decompile, disassemble, or reverse engineer our apps, except where the law allows it;
• use our products to break the law or to harm others.

When your license ends

Your license ends if you break these terms, or if your payment is refunded or reversed. When a license ends, the app stops working in licensed mode at its next check with our server. A payment that is under dispute with your bank pauses the license until the dispute is resolved.

Third-party content and services

Some products work with content or services from third parties, such as playlists you add or an AI provider you choose. We do not control them and are not responsible for them. You are responsible for having the right to use the content you open with our apps.

Refunds

Direct purchases can be refunded as described in our Refund Policy at https://vastlogic.dev/refund/.

No warranty

To the extent the law allows, our products are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not promise that our products will be error-free or uninterrupted. Our products are not designed to be your only way to protect a device or your data.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for loss of data, profits, or business, that come from your use of our products. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid for the product that the claim is about, or USD 10 if you paid nothing.

Your rights as a consumer

Some countries and states do not allow some of the limits above. Nothing in these terms takes away rights that you have under consumer protection laws and that cannot be waived by contract.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the applicable laws of the US state in which VAST LOGIC LLC is organized, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. If you are a consumer in another country, you keep the protection of the mandatory laws of that country.

Changes

We may update these terms from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with a revised date. If you keep using our products after a change, you accept the new terms.
